GET TO KNOW CHEF NANDO
For all of my life, I have enjoyed being in the kitchen. When I was young I watched my family cook and share happy memories. My first job was washing dishes. Upon seeing so many happy guests and families in the restaurant I knew this was my journey I wanted to pursue.
Attending the University of Houston I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management
I was the General Manager of many successful Restaurants for over twenty years.
I started a Leadership consulting company in late 2000 and pursued my real dream of teaching. I was invited to lecture at several universities.
I taught at the University of North Texas in Denton and later Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Dallas, Texas.
In 2015 I moved to Northwest Arkansas to open my restaurant The Social Taco in Rogers.
This year begins a new chapter with my new venture Chef Nando Events and Catering. I have also joined the Faculty at Brightwater.
Now I proudly share my experiences with students, friends, family and bring my joy that food brings to life.
